About Amnesty - McMaster Chapter
Amnesty International is an organization that campaigns for human rights everywhere in accordance with the UN Declaration of Human Rights. The numbers for groups are assigned based on order of establishment; thus we, at McMaster University, are proud to represent Amnesty International Group 8.
As a local chapter, we research human rights conflicts across the globe in order to support the basic rights and freedoms of individuals everywhere. Events and campaigns we hold are coffee houses, awareness concerts, letter writing campaigns, vigils, petitions, movie nights, and discussions.
